I’M CAYCE

I’m a writer and a publicist, but I’m also known as an executive storyteller and productivity whisperer for high-level professionals and thought leaders.

MY STORY

I’ve been writing and story telling all my life. In my 20+ years of marketing comm work, I’ve held plenty of VP of This and Director of That titles. In 2014 I left the corporate world to focus exclusively on my behind-the-scenes work as Modern Publicist.

My clients are highly successful. But, they often struggle with packaging their ideas. (Credibility as a thought leader requires this important step.) And that’s where I come in.

I offer proven content formulas and publishing systems. My work positions you to unlock thought leader recognition level. I show you how to make the ask when pitching the media and influencers for support, too.

A LOOK BACK AT MY BUSINESS JOURNEY:

It’s been a long and fun road getting here.

Here are some highlights:

2000: Worked my way through college as an executive assistant for high profile political figure and law firm
2003: Graduated from UCLA with a degree in Philosophy (pre-law)
2003: Worked 9-5 in design and marketing communications
2009: Began graduate school while working as full-time Comm Manager
2011: Graduated from The George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management with a Master’s Degree in Strategic Public Relations
2013: Spearheaded first of its kind focus group in support of underserved LatinX communities
2014: Founded Modern Publicist
2017: Wrote “Content for Thought Leaders” course curriculum for executives and entrepreneurs
2020: Began series of virtual events for executives, entrepreneurs, and sales professionals
2022: Hosted first in-person “Content for Thought Leaders” intensive

LET’S GET A LITTLE MORE PERSONAL

Yes, I’ve held nearly every behind-the-scenes title conceived by c-levels. But I’m most proud to have helped overwhelmed entrepreneurs develop thought leadership platforms to establish greater credibility and earn industry praise.

I am a voracious reader. I am obsessed (<— in a chill, unfussy way) with productivity because I believe deeply in the power of down time.

I am happiest out in the sunshine. I love thoughtful design, dark coffee, and, absolutely, most of all, forever and ever, my role as a Mom.
